Every morning I walk along the Squamish River. The river is constantly changing, very much like life. The river is an allegory for life.

Some people stay in the backwaters
Some people like it that way
Some people take the rapids head on
Some people like it that way
It doesn’t really matter what you do
The river just keeps on rolling along

You may wonder what’s up around the bend
You may wonder what the currents gonna bring
The river makes it’s own way
It ain’t gonna change no matter no how
It doesn’t really matter what you do

You can try and paddle up the river
You can try and paddle against the current
Sooner or later you’re gonna turn around
